At C.O.M.P.A.S.S 247, our vision is to create a community of navigators to direct people in need to the appropriate services. To assist in rebuilding their foundation by providing basic necessities. To provided training and education on a series of topics for empowerment.
We start by assessing a person need. We take time to build rapport and gain trust. Once the relationship has been established, we check for basic necessities. Second, go in the communities and coordinating and collaborating with churches, local agencies, businesses, city administrators, schools, etc. Third, develop a plan of action and provide support services until plan is completed.
Over the year, we have accomplished many important milestones in our mission to support people with the purchase of birth certificates, identification, obtain mental health and recovery services, assist in filling out paper work. Sometimes, we just listen. We have expanded our services by facilitating NA/AA Meetings.
